Cyrus Jones: 5'11" 183 lbs; Gilman School, Baltimore, Maryland (01/30/2011)
I think OSU is sitting pretty with all the DL and and LB recruits except for Wormley and the Kid from Florida. Also things look good with Shane Dillon and the WR from Cincy Taft.

Of course OSU already has verbals from Boren, Kalis, Perry, Ball and Dunn. There are anywhere from 15-20 scholarships available for 2012.

Offensive line recruiting has to be a priority.

Just curious about what's wrong with Wormley?

He grew up a Michigan fan. Nothimg wrong with him as a player. I would call OSU the early leader for the rest of the kids except for Wormley and the kid from Florida. Obviously there is a long way to go but on a good day I would say OSU is 50 50 with UM for him.

You can add Jones to this class at QB. Dillon is their guy so if he wants to be a Buckeye, they will take him.

The two RBs are studs, the only other one I could see being recruited is Shell.

If a quality FB emerges, we have to take him with Boren and Homan half way done.

At WR, Stanford and one other is likely to be in this class. I see 2 total. Green-Beckham is the tops and OSU is in on him, but Tress has never landed the top WR.

There might be room for 1 TE, but no more than that.

OL is absolutely crucial. Boren and Kalis are a good start but we need at least 2 more quality Tackles and a quality Guard. I am hoping for 6 quality OL total and there might end up being that in Ohio.

DE is stacked in Ohio. Wormley will be a Wolverine and it will be considered Hoke's first big get from Ohio. That still leave Lewis, Pittman, and Washington for us.

We will probably want 2 DT. McMullen will be in with Lewis. Schutt from Illinois is a monster and would be a great get. Strobel could grow into a DT and get an offer.

Only 1 senoir LB next year and a great haul this year. Perry is already in but may grow into a DE. Washington may end up a LB. Rippy is the biggest target here with Ringer also lurking. Getting 1 more LB will be enough.

We are pretty stacked at DB now, but you have to expect 2 or 3 DB/ATH in the class.

There will likely be a K/P if Buchanan does not improve.

If the quality guys are there, I want: Jones, the 2 RB, FB, 2 WR, 6 OL, 3 DE, 2 DT, 1-2 LB, 1-2 DB/ATH. That's 20. There could be enough attrition to get to that many.

I know we need Oline help but I'd like to see some smaller guys... some 280's and 290's who can run and show some lateral quickness.... not so sure I like the 300+ pounders all the teim

I imagine the two 300lbers offered above are pretty lean considering their height.

Also, I can't imagine Shell coming here, and honestly, I think Dunn and Ball look more impressive on tape, jmo. I think OL, DL, and WR should be the main focus from here on out for the '12 class.

Kid said he might visit OSU this month. I hope so. Kid has offers from Iowa and Wisonsin that is enough for me.

Here's hoping Tressel can reel in Odenigbo once he finally gets an offer. He looks extremely fast and athletic on tape.

Se'Von Pittman recently received an offer. Some rumors that he may be the next commit.

He recently ran in the 4.6s in a combine. I hope we get him one ASAP.

Combine results and summary. Also Benny McGowan OG from Centerville put up a 100 SPARQ rating, first time ever for an OL.

De'Van Bogard has received an offer. Can't post video right now, but the kid likes to mix it up.
