Alright, off to the races. Teams involved:
Westland
West
Groveport
Reynoldsburg
Marion Franklin
Central Crossing
Westerville Central
Dublin Scioto
Dublin Jerome
Worthington Kilborne
Olentangy Orange
Westerville North
Lancaster

Easily the weakest of the three sectionals, but I also beleive this sectional has some of the younger teams in the area that may leap to the front in the coming years. Quick run down of weights in no particular order. I know I'm forgetting some, just throwing out a few names

in no particular order
103
Spearman- Lancaster
Straughter- Reynoldsburg
Wimer- Central Crossing
Carbajal- Scioto
Shaut- Kilborne
Disabato- w. north
-looks like a potetial repeat of last years sectional final between Spearman and Straughter.

112
Herrara- w. north
Chang- Reynoldsburg
Householder- Central Crossing
Comfort- Jerome
Workman- Gport
-I like Herrara and Chang for the finals. Should be a great match

119
Jurcisek- Orange
Thomas- Central Crossing
Stroupe- Lancaster
Who else? Stroupe probably techs his way to the title

125
Haslem- Westalnd
Varazashvili- Kilborne
K. Farns- Central Crossing
Davis- Lancaster
- I'm taking an outside shot and saying the Davis beats out the prohibitive favorite Haslam.

130
Super weak weight. Couldn't even tell you a name.

135
Reynolds- Gport
Hauber- Central Crossing
Alger- W. North
-top heavy weight class. I give the nod to Alger, if he is indeed at this weight.

140
Hardy- Central Crossing
Jones- Marion Franklin
Syfers- Reynoldsburg
-Hardy has the experience, but Jones is an athletic speciman. Edge to Hardy

145
Clinkscales- w. central
Toprani- Orange
-Toprani techs his way to a sectional title

152
Moore- Orange
Hysell- Central Crossing
Carbajal- Scioto
Johnston-Reynoldsburg
-weak weight, probably some unnamed other will take the top four spots

160
Pickett- CC
Brown- W. Central
Hoover- Reynoldsburg
Jones?- Marion Franklin
-Easily the best weight of the sectional. Top three could challenge for state qualifications. First two are proven, Hoover has shown promise (7th at Brecksville last year), but has yet to transfer that to post-season success.

171
Duffy- W. Central
-Bad weight class, usually one of the better weights at a sectional.

189
Bressman- Kilborne
King- Westland
Reed- Reynoldsburg
-pretty open weight. Marion usually has pretty good athletes here. Anyone's to win.

215
King- Scioto
-One horse race!!

285
McNabb- W. Central
Gray- M. Franklin
Henry- G.M
-pretty open weight as well

I know that there are many more names out there. I was just throwing a couple out. Most of these weights are anyone's to gain. There may be some sectional champs here who would not even make it out of the other two sectionals. Good opportunity for young teams to qualify a lot to the next level. Team wise Lancaster should run away with the title. I know little about Westerville North except that they have a very young talented team, but inexperienced. I'll put Central Crossing up for second followed by either North, Kilborne, Orange or Reynoldsburg for third.

Gundling impressed me a great deal on Saturday. Very strong and tight in technique. Excellent showing, I thought. Ouzts is tough as well. Another one to watch for is Nicholson from Jerome... Personal opinion; he wins it and wins the finals by 6.

Gee. All of the sudden, 130 ain't half bad.

Im a bit surprised at saying Haslaam is the "prohibited favorite" at 125 since Varazashvili already beat him.

I actually thought it was the other way.
Either way neither would be "prohibitive" in my book they looked pretty equal.

Didn't the 130 from Lancaster give McDougle a heck of a match?

#125 davis lancaster already beat haslem 5-0 i believe early in the season. #130 is clearly a two horse race with outz and nicholson furlongs ahead of the rest of the field.

at 119 you have returning district qualifier Youmans(WN) and at 125 freshman nick durieux (WN) owns a win over state placer branham. He may not have a shot at winning but can definately stir things up'

Agreed Duriex is tough, he made the wise decision to bump up. He could make quite a run this year.

Lancaster also has a very tough 140lber.
Jones will be at 140 for sectionals. He is athletic as heck, but has also learned how to wrestle pretty well in the last year. I will still give an edge to hardy based on experience if he is here, although IMO athleticism is the great equalizer. It should be fun to say the least. Good luck and stay healthy these next couple of weeks.

Youmans are great kids. But, Duriex win over Branham is kinda fluky. Branhan loses to Disabato 7-5 in ot. Duriex would probably not make it out of the first period vs Disabato. Look at both of their bodies of work this year. He may make Districts because hes in a weak group at sectionals and at a light weight. No offense but just an opinion. On an off note why wasnt Outz on the Brakeman?! HUGE miss!

Myers from Jerome is a tough out here from Jerome! Sobeich, Duffy and Myers come out of this one at 171...not sure of the order though
