How are we going to unify and develop this league with this kind of behavior. Soon the Commish will be charging $.99 a month for league membership.

Agreed, Kirtland is looking very tough. They have rolled through the playoffs like a hot knife through butter, pretty much the regular season too. I wonder if they can dominate next week? My guess is no

Today being my first offical day as the Commissioner of the new WCAAL, I would like to issue a statement.

Firstly, Good luck tonight Bobcats. As a proud member of our conference you have the opportunity to represent all of us and bring great respect to yourselves, your fans, your community, and your league. Go out there and stalk a win tonight.

Nextly, all team nicknames/monikers/colors will remain what currently represents the schools. We will not impose a a name change on any school right away, however there will be a merit system whereby future underperforming teams will need to comply with the league by-laws and change the name of the school mascot. For instance, and this is just off the top of my head...Dennis' Derelicts. It raw, it's edgey, it just might motivate a coach not to call a screen pass on 3rd and 46.

Thirdly, here is another rule change to make things interesting. Everyone talks about playing their freshmen, but who has the stones to start them? Under my reign any team starting their freshmen team at the varsity level and playing them the entire game will recieve and extra half game in the W column if they win. So let's just say Norwayne starts their freshmen against Chippewa and wins, Norwayne would be given credit for 1.5 league wins.

Fourthly, I hate seeing bands at halftime with like 28 kids in it. Any school not able to put at least 45 kids in their band will pay a fine to the Commish and the audience will get to listen to a playlist from my iPod. Everyone wins.

Fifthly, each member school will have their concession stand audited once a season. The concession stand will recieve a grade and that grade will help determine how many home games will be granted that school the following year. A soggy hot dog on a stale bun means you might need to buy some extra diesel fuel for next season. A warm creamy hot chicken sandwich means you better clear out some more parking area. And as far as pizza goes, Triway wins hands down every year.

I know some of these ideas are going to be difficult for some of you to adapt to, but I will make the league a better place. I am working on a revenue sharing proposal right now, that will help smaller schools compete.
