OK I'm doing my taxes using turbotax. Last year I lived in Kansas until the end of November then moved back to Ohio. I did not have any income in Ohio as I quit my job in Kansas when I moved back. I did however keep my Ohio ID for the whole year. Do I need to file a return for the state of Ohio or Rita since I had no income in Ohio. When I do my taxes on turbotax Ohio is basically all O's but it would cost me 28 bucks to file so do i have to file.

I'm no tax expert, but I believe you have to file even if you made no income here

You have to file the RITA (she is such a bitch) but if you owe nothing to Ohio you don't have to file Ohio.
