The best part of that two-sentence article was this user comment.
I had a female friend call 911 one morning complaining of severe stomach pains. Come to find out the pain was inflicted by her date giving it to her up her pooper all night. With this guy it wouldn't shock me if he has suffered the same fate.

Yeah I'm kinda aware. I played my entire junior season of HS baseball with a painful, inguinal hernia and have had several patients with hernias of all kinds. If I had to guess, this one was probably an incarcerated hernia since it caused him extreme sudden pain. An incarcerated hernia...now that's irony.
However, it's not as dangerous as what I thought it could possibly be, like a GI bleed or a heart attack (pain can radiate to abdomen during a MI)
