Over 35 seems like a lock at this point. He's scored the last 15 for BYU.

I was simply amazed after watching that game.....wow.

Jimmer was averaging 26.7 pts per game....but BYU was a running team and playing 20-0 San Diego St....a superior defensive team with excellent athletes and they typically play lower scoring games.

I thought the athletic and long great defense would hold him under his average....so I made the 24.5 instead of a higher number.....I put 1000 in the under column but deleted it before submitting and clicked the over......he was insane. He was so unbelievable it is very difficult for me to do any more over/unders on his performance.

Jimmer Fredette was amazing. His body control and ability maneuver, cross-over, and get himself enough space to get off a good shot is remarkable. But most impressive to me was when he thought that he had made a move to create the space for a shot against the good defenders of SD St, and the defender still had him well covered when he went up. At least or five times he recognized that the shot was likely going to get blocked, and had the presence of mind to pull the ball back in the air and pass it to a team mate. To think that he always went up with a back-up plan to dish off the ball I would think would really hurt his shooting percentage, but he beat his season's average in all shooting stats:

................. SD ST .......season's avg
points ......... 43 .................. 27.4
deuce % .... 56.2 ................ 52.6
trey % ....... 62.5 ................ 42.1
FT % ......... 90.9 ................ 90.1
turnovers .... 4 .................... 2.9
steals ......... 1 .................... 1.3
Rebounds ... 4 ..................... 3.4
minutes...... 39 ................... 34.1

The slightly higher turnovers reflects the tougher defense and the more pressure that was put on him than normal. They need a stat for % aborted and blocked shots lost. Jimmer amazingly didn't have very many of those!
