"Conduct detrimental to the program." I suspect a shooting percentage of .312 and a scoring average of 6.5 would qualify.

Well, this all started in the offseason with a few players and I believe Lucious was involved with that as well. Who was the other player dismissed last summer? This is the second one. Izzo definately has some character issues with this team.

Chris Allen was kicked off of the team earlier this year. This may be the one year in which Izzo doesn't work his tournament magic. Or, it might be addition by subtraction.

Good player, bad person.

He'll end up in the SEC.

I think that's implying the SEC as a whole is good at basketball.

Florida and Kentucky might be good, but the rest is pretty bad... especially the SEC West which might be worse at basketball than the big east is comparatively at football.

An AP writer in Michigan tweeted that an East Lansing District Court clerk said this morning there were not any pending charges against Lucious.

Interesting that you brought this up. There was talk in the radio the other day that this SEC West division is the WORST major college division, EVER. Jerry Palm came up with this after he ran one of his computer things.

Kinda funny that there is like ONE (Azu) SEC bball fan around here. And on football the flock to let us know how F'ing good the SEC is. ;)

The SEC West is as bad as I remember it ever being.

The weird thing is, I am fairly optimistic about Anthony Grant at Alabama and Trent Johnson and Andy Kennedy are solid coaches who will continue to do well.

As much as I'd love to say it, John Pelphrey is really struggling at Arkansas and is likely to be gone soon. I'm not sure Tony Barbee was the right hire at Auburn either, but we'll see. Rick Stansbury is Rick Stansbury. He's been there the 2nd longest of everyone at MSU but has never really been "really good." I'd bet he continues to be a NCAA caliber team but not much more.

All the booster money is being used up with football so there's nothing left to get the basketball players. ;)

Well if anything else, Izzo can take solace in that he's not coaching the Cavs right now :-(

Now MSU will have to find someone else to horribly underachieve every season.

I've met Korey Lucious and I thought he seemed like a great kid. Respectful and humble. I would imagine it was another poor choice off the court. He got popped for a DUI on a moped this summer and handled it as well as one could given the ridiculousness of the action. He isn't a bad person, just a kid who doesn't think.
