Who are/were the best shot blockers?
Mutumbo was good, loved the finger wag.
Has anyone been better than Labron at chasing someone down?

Who else?

Ben Wallace was a monster shot blocker during his run of defensive player of the year awards earlier this decade. Mutumbo is up at the top for sure with Russell, Kareem, and some others.

There is a difference between off the ball shot blockers, and on the ball shot blockers. Hakeem was the best on the ball shot blocker I have seen.

Better...? Probably not, but Tayshaun Prince isn't too shabby...

As far as pure shot-blocking goes, one of my favorites in the game currently has to be the Birdman, Chris Andersen. 2.5 blocks per game last season, despite seeing only 20 minutes per contest.

I agree with Prince.
Love the Birdman. Great story. Seems to have his shit together now.
