For being ruled out about five times, Pouncey sure sounded optimistic about his chances of playing.

By the way, I liked Berman surprisingly in that interview. Maybe they should switch it up and have him as the field reporter more often.

Harrison I'd say was the best at media day with his comments about how he'll try not to step on anyone's toes and that they should put a pillow down to make the field less hard.

This is just an extremely special time to be a Steelers fan. It's easy to get used to this being that it's their 3rd Super Bowl trip in 6 years. But, I remember being a fan during the Mark Malone years, Bubby Brister, etc. and them being shitty some years and a decent team others. Then, I FINALLY got to see them make it to the Super Bowl and they lost to Dallas in Super Bowl XXX. O'Donnell's 2 picks STRAIGHT to Larry Brown. Gut-wrenching. Then all of those AFC Championship games and Denver and New England knocked them off. Hell, even the loss to the Chargers in the AFCCG at Three Rivers the year before they made it to the Super Bowl and lost to the Cowboys. And it took them 10 years to make it back and they won Super Bowl XL......

I was on Cloud Nine remembering all of the past heartbreak and how thankful I was to witness them making it to the top. Then that Super Bowl "hangover" the next season. Then the Tomlin era began and that last-second loss to Jax on Wildcard weekend. Then making it back to the top after the Manning boys got their rings and to do it in such dramatic fashion. Incredible. Now, 2 years later they're back in it with another opportunity to win it.

We're pretty spoiled but I don't appreciate it any less because it could be another 10, 15 or 20 years before they make it back. You just never know. This is one helluva run that they're in the midst of. Gotta enjoy it. This isn't the norm. I'd love to get used to it and think it's going to happen every other year....but I know better.

Another random thought......about midway or so through the season.....I thought we might witness "Redemption Bowl" on 2-6-11. Big Ben vs. Michael Vick in the Super Bowl. Ben obviously made it and I began to think about Ray Lewis' journey nearly a decade ago. A murder charge hanging over his head and then one year later he's playing in the Super Bowl and he wins MVP. Instead of him doing the "I'm going to Disney World!" commercial like the MVP of the Super Bowl usually does.....Trent Dilfer was chosen to be in the commercial. Do you guys think that happens to Ben if the Steelers win and he's named the MVP? Somebody like Troy would get to do it in Ben's place probably, I think.

I would certainly hope not........Lewis copped a plea, Ben was never charged with a crime, big difference IMO. Then again, in today's ridiculously politically correct world and the urge for people to rush to judgement, it might make who ever's in charge of that decision think twice.

It's their business what these guys do and going to a strip club isn't illegal but damn guys, trouble could be right around the corner and it's Super Bowl week. Hines denies going to the club.

I don't have a problem with it either but it's the Super Bowl........why even chance it or open yourself up to that kind of criticism.
