Hey, Cruiser. What teams are coming to THE Cruiser Invitational this year? I tried searching in case there was already a post about it, but I didn't find anything.

If everyone is healthy, we could have some K-I-L-L-A weight classes. Last year's 171 pound weight class was pretty legit. This year could have 4 or 5 like that! But, again, that's if everyone is healthy.
Same format as last year: 4 mats (1 mat for the finals), a bullpen, 12-man brackets and a program, including a set of brackets, for sale at the door. Concession stand (hopefully with brats, romulus!), team areas in the cafeteria and awards for top three teams and top three individuals.
As for the awards... I just received an email from one of Central Ohio's more well-known, and more outspoken (about the sport of wrestling), non-wrestler personalities. that being Ohio State's head football coach, Mr. Jim Tressel, letting me know that he would NOT be able to hand out the awards at this year's tournament. Kind of a bummer even though I knew it was a loooooooooong shot. I guess I should have waited until AFTER he let me know his decision before getting 14 copies of "The Winner's Manual"!!!!!!!!!!! What to do with them now... (Side note: The first person to decline was Chris Spielman. He let me know that he likes his off-season to be just thaqt, his off-season. "Understandable.")
A few (hopefully positive) changes for this year - based on suggestions from last year - will be the bout board, consisting of "bullpen", "in the hole", "on deck" and "LIVE!!!" (If you can come up with a different name, I'm take any suggestions), two scales for weigh-ins and T-Shirts for the tournament.
Other than that, that's all I have.
Here are all five pages of last year's discussion... http://www.ohiochatter.com/forum/threads/6011-The-Cruiser-Invitational...-January-30th-2010 (pictures can be found on page 3 or 4.)

Hey Cruiser, Is Groveport around Columbus. I will be in Groveport on the 29th and I think in my best interest stay until the 30th. My son is getting married in this land of far away so I have to travel. Send me an email or PM, I might bring a bunch of guys wanting to watch some matches!! This is a for sure thing on my part. I already reserved the rooms. Didn't know a tournament was going on at the same time this week but I will definitely check it out. So much for keeping my new in laws happy!!

I will be willing to throw in my "tough as nails" insightful commentary. I am also considered quite witty in certain circles and would be willing to do my rendition of classic 80's hits. Especially if my kid is in the finalscruiser_96;641926 wrote:Whoa, whoa, whoa... my mic has room for three!!! Bring it on, boys!

Never heard of this Bon Jovi but it sounds interesting. Shucks, I'm just Living on a Prayer but sometimes I do feel Wanted Dead or Alive. Wish I could be a Modern Day Cowboy though. Seeing how hard some of these kids work, I think they ARE modern day cowboys. If I had to work that hard in practice in high school, I would have Runaway. Again, if you need an announcer I'll Be There For You. We'll talk again Cruiser, Never Say Goodbye. If my wife is reading is I am sure She Don't Know Me. Now, Hells Bells, tell me a little about this Bon Jovi.

Cruiser, you could have some former champs in the building for this tournament
