Probably over for him, but wouldn't be surprised to see him come to the rescue of a good team who loses a QB right around the midway point of the season

My thoughts exactly, or if there's a lockout to shorten the season. He won't be there in September, but if someone comes calling in Oct or Nov I think he comes back. The chance to be a savior plus the chance to redeem himself for this year will be too much. And obviously he still loves the game but I think his body has said "no mas" (and I think his foot injury is of the type that won't get better).
