I'm curious to see what everyone's top 5 Ohio State Bowl Games are under Jim Tressel. Here are mine:

1.) Nat'l Title Game: OSU vs. Miami- Self explanatory

2.) Rose Bowl: OSU vs. Oregon- This was Tressel's first Rose Bowl, and in my opinion, if we can't get to the title game, then the Rose Bowl is the next best thing.

3.) Sugar Bowl: OSU vs Arkansas- The first ever win against an SEC opponent has to be in the top 3

4.) Fiesta Bowl: OSU vs. ND- It often enough feels like ND is the biggest rival we never play, and there was a decent amount of back story to this game.

5.) Fiesta Bowl: OSU vs. Texas- I know this was a loss, but both teams really gave it there all. This game stressed me out as much as the Miami game did.

2002 Championship (obviously)
2005 Fiesta against ND - Ohio State pretty much ripped Charlie Weis' reputation with that win
2009 Rose against Oregon - just a good win
2003 Fiesta against KSU - underrated win, lot of talent on the team
2010 Sugar against Arkansas - again another win, the controversy with the players knocks it down to the bottom.

I also agree that the '08 Fiesta was a great game, just a terrible play at the end of the game cost them another BCS bowl victory.

My opinion:

1. 2003 Fiesta Bowl win over Miami for tha NC. Clearly this is the best in the Tressel era and the best in my 28 years in this world.
2. 2006 Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame. So many Domer fans were talking shit and preaching Weis' greatness. No doubt in my mind that OSU was playing the best ball at the end of that season.
3. 2010 Rose Bowl win over Oregon. Many people thought OSU would lose and that Oregon was too fast. Buckeyes proved naysayers wrong and broke the 3 game bowl loss streak.
4. 2011 Sugar Bowl win over Arkansas. Finally got the SEC monkey off of their back. It wasn't a pretty win, but they got the job done with all the controversy surrounding them.
5. 2005 Alamo Bowl win over Oklahoma St. This may not be a popular one, but it was such a dominant win over a very good Oklahoma St. team.

8 of 10 years in the BCS, that is impressive by itself. The title gets the top spot (obviously). I like this year's Sugar over the Rose Bowl last year. Notre Dame was when ND was noteworthy. The Texas loss was heartbreaking, but was a tough game. Then the KSU Fiesta for the W, the loss in the backed-in BCS game against LSU. The Alamo win, Outback loss, and the game I won't mention last.

Arrrgghhhhh that S.Car game kills me to this day. Mr Ohio High School killed us Ryan Brewer.

1. Fiesta vs. Miami - BCS NC
2. Fiesta vs. ND - I've always hated UND fans and the bullshit talk leading up to this game was unprecedented.
3. Alamo vs. OK State - I had more fun watching this game than any other game in the Tressel era, wish this game would've meant more (in terms of a BCS game).
4. Rose vs. Oregon - thought oregon was grossly overrated and TP proved they had no defense
5. Sugar vs. Arkansas - Getting over the SEC hump means little to me, but I get it's importance. I just was happy to beat up on someone after the week Buckeye fans had leading up to the game (tattoo gate).

2. 2006 Rose Bowl: Texas 41, USC 38

3. 2007 Fiesta Bowl: Boise State 43, Oklahoma 42, OT

4. 2006 Orange Bowl: Penn State 26, Florida State 23, 3 OT

5. 2005 Rose Bowl: Texas 38, Michigan 37

IMHO we don't go to the Rose Bowl often enough. Nobody gave us a chance for this game either

2005 Fiesta Notre Dame 34-20 W
Notre Dame was riding high and this was a great win. It was also a springboard to OSU being #1 the following year


2010 Sugar Arkansas 31-26 W
Finally shut up some SEC fans

2004 Alamo Oklahoma State 33-7 W
I probably rate this higher than most people will because I was there and had a great time (had to overcome the suspension of Troy for this game)

2003 Fiesta Kansas State 35-28 W
Kind of a dissapointing season, but we dominated KState

I'm going to rate all the losses under the wins. Some may have been great games, but I still can't put these over any of the wins

great game. Texas just made a great play to win it

nobody really thought OSU should have been there.

Biggest dissapointment under Tressel's tenure. Nobody gave Florida a chance and they beat the crap out of us.
