The spiders refer to search engines "crawlers" that are indexing the content on the site. At one point we were in double digits (I think 15 or 16). I posted a link to the National Title thread on twitter and it brought some traffic to the site. For some reason it always bring a lot of spiders when I post a link on twitter.

Spiders aren't always good. The crawlers for the Big G are good, but they can also be harvesters that search for email addresses or phone numbers. They're shady business, but they still show up as spiders.
