Adding to the sad news of the weekend was the news that Major Winters, of Band of Brothers fame passed away.
One of the many great heroes of the war, he served admirably both in the service and in private.
RIP Dick. America has lost one of its best.

That sucks. Amazing life story, amazing person. You could tell in the interviews in the BOB series how much respect his guys still had for him after so many years. I couldn't imagine going through the things he did in WWII.
