I think mainly cause I'm basically stuck in the house for 3 months, and it drives me crazy. I don't even feel like drinkin' during the winter months. Can't wait for March to get here!!!

I hate winter too. However, leaving for Naples, Florida on the 27th for 6 days and then going back down in March and the first week of April.

Agree, but you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it's also good bonfire weather!

My grandma always told me, if there's an "R" in the month, you still may need a coat/jacket. I've seen snow in April.

In most years, we have a solid four months of winter in Ohio. That is about three and a half too long if you ask me. I would be on that midnight train to Georgia if I did not have family here.

I have been in Florida -- Naples for 3 days and Ft. Lauderdale for 8 days -- and now I have to head back to the wild and woolly west (South Dakota).

This is going to be awful. It will be a temperature change of 80+ degrees possibly. It has been near 80 all week long here, and it is sure to be below 0 in South Dakota. Yuck.

Yea, if it weren't for my nieces and nephews, I'd be long gone! No way I could leave them though.

I've been in Va. since Christmas eve and will never stay this long again! I need to go in the morning, heading for home to get ready for Daytona Speedweeks. I don't care what kind of winter storm I have to drive through, I'm not staying!

Winter would be better if we actually had snow! I like cold air...but I'm a big snowsports junkie and this weather has been awful. I've jus been stuck inside all winter

Same here. You would think it would be the opposite though.

Like another poster said, I don't mind it if there was snow to go along with the cold.

I don't mind the cold. My only complaint with winter is having to drive on snow and/or ice.

I much rather prefer this than 90+ degrees and high humidity.

I'd take 90+ degrees all day as opposed to this.

I also hate it. I would prefer it to never be colder than 60 degrees. Maybe even 70.

I really don't mind it I guess. Its a busy time for me anyways so I don't have time to sit around and think about how bad things suck. Plus we make a trip to Florida the 1st week of March and then when we come back its chilly but not so horrible

Home sweet warm home. I drove 12 hours, Greensboro,NC was fine, but I-85 from Kannapolis to Charlotte was a nightmare. Almost got taken out by a woman driver who turned at her exit ramp, which wasn't cleared like the 1 lane of road. She spun left completely in front of me, into the two iced lanes, spun 2 or 3 more times while crossing back in front of me as I tapped my brakes watching the 18 wheeler in my rear view mirror get squirrly. She finally stopped right in front of me,(I stopped too) pointed mostly forward so she drove on to the next exit. There was already a cop in the median with another car, he had to see the whole thing as she spun past. I swear I saw 40 wrecks in that one stretch. I was happy to fall in behind a couple of plow trucks on 77 part way to Columbia, SC. Ice on my front bumper must have been an inch thick across 26 in freezing rain, but the road wasn't bad. Once I got to I-95 traffic picked up. It all thawed out when I hit Jawja. I stopped for gas in Palm Coast and it is now 65 degrees. A handful of motorcycles pull in, and I wondered why would anyone choose to live up north?
