Game's on at noon on Fox Sports Ohio. Here's another opportunity for the Bearcats to quell the naysayers. After starting out with a tame schedule, the Cats now face the gauntlet that is the Big East Conference. They just finished off Xavier, now they will play Nova, Notre Dame and Syracuse in the next week.

UC is closing the gap and NOVA is in foul trouble big time

Not a bad showing. Not facing a tough road OOC crowd definitely showed early. This looked like a classic Huggins coached team. Scrappy play, some dumb fouls, and terrible free throw shooting.

They shot 50% from inside the 3. They have to keep pounding it inside like they did against X. After Villanova had all those fouls all UC did was shoot jumpers the last 5 mins.

Hopefully the whole conference season isn't called so tight. Thomas will foul out every game.

Overall I'm happy with the result though. I think they will compete for a first round Big East tourney bye and get into the NCAA tourney, winning about 7 more games.

Hilarity ensued when Mick lost his cool on the sideline. Had to be restrained? What are you going to do midget go and attack the full grown referee? I think I like Bob Huggins as a person better.

I love how Cronin complained about the officials and said Nova paraded their way to the free throw line when UC shot 25 FTs compared to Novas 33, and maybe UC missed a chance at more FTs by missing the front end of a 1 and 1. The officials may have been bad but don't complain about them shooting free throws when you shot 8 less of them and still lost by 11. I don't think the officials made UC go 2-20 from 3 or 15-25 from the line.

Did you actually watch the game or just look at the box score? Most of Nova's FTs were in the first half, most of UC's were in the second half. Cronin's complaining seemed to work.

Let's go Nova!!!! I want to see Jay Wright suffer meltdown and rip his coat off.
