I want to get it but I'm holding off until someone says it's good. No one I've talked to has played it and until now nothing was discussed here.

No, but I want it. I wasted a ton of time playing GT4 in college.

I have it ... Awesome.

I powered through 50% of the game between Christmas and New Year's. Back to the real world this week so i'm not getting much in but i would recommend it.

It's like GT4 on roids. So many cars this time around.

It is filled with cars but it's annoying that most of them don't have the "premium" visuals.

I think Forza is the superior racing game. GT5's premium cars are wonderful looking though.

They've had a few new patches already since the release. New online racing events, time trials. Even drifting competitions. They also have the GT Academy, for the silly-serious drivers.

Rumors of additional tracks coming, even adding motorcycles. Remember Tourist Trophy?

If ya have a few bucks and a few extra minutes to blow, get this "driving simulator" because it's not just some arcade game. The importance of
tuning and proper settings is so important. Equal cars (weight and HP) and you will see dramatic differences in lap times.

I've been a fan of the GT series ever since ps1. I suggest getting GT5. it's a blast.

I bought it for my son and we haven't played it a lot, it is fun to play though.

Best recommendation I can make to someone starting brand new in A-Spec, your first car should either be the used Civic-Si or the Miata. Start with one of these two cars and enjoy!

I don't own a PS3 but have strongly considered getting one along with a set of wheels and pedals and going all out for GT5. I loved GT4 in college and love racing games in general so this seems right up my alley.

I rented it and logged A LOT of miles in that time. 8 or 9-ish out of 10 I'd say. I like Forza just a smidge more though.

I think Forza is a better racer. Can't wait to see what the next one does.

Both are excellent I just think that this latest Gran Turismo didn't quite live up to the 21372483 years of development/hype even though it is really good.

Forza is great, but I just don't think it compares to GT5, at least IMO...

I'm not that big into racing games though.

They're both really good games so which one you prefer probably comes down to taste and what you're looking for in your racers.

For me Forza is a bit better but I can easily see how people could prefer GT5 because it is also a really great game.
