Looking for suggestions on places to go for a long weekend with my brother, brother-in-law, and another friend or two. This past November we went to New Orleans for a long weekend, had a blast and are looking into taking a yearly trip together. So we are looking for ideas on good places to go in the continental US. I'm coming from central OH, my brother and 1 friend from Chicago and my brother-in-law from Washington state. We are thinking maybe Austin, TX or somewhere like that. Or we could always head back to New Orleans.

What is there to do (that's fun or cool) in Corpus Christi?

I've only been there once and it was for work, but if you're going with a group of guys you can charter a boat for a fishing trip! The food down there is amazing! Now that I think about it. When I was in Corpus Christi, everyone was telling me I need to go to Brownsville, TX. It's also right on the Coast, but it's also right next to Mexico! So instead of Corpus Christi I say Brownsville!

San Antonio is my pick if I'm going to TX. How old is everyone and what do you like to do? if you're 20-30, like to get sloppy drunk, want to hit on dumb hot college girls, then austin is the place, otherwise i'd say San Antonio.
If we're talking non-Texas places, Denver, Las Vegas, Seattle, San Diego, Phoenix (strictly for the golf), Jackson Hole (summer, or for skiing), NYC, Key West, Destin, and Boston. Would all be on my short list of places.

Fire Island Beach on the northshore of Long Island. Lots of great pick-up bars. And I guarantee you guys will get hit on.

also austin during football season is a lot more fun than austin at any time of year (other than city limits music time). San Antonio is better in the winter and summer, IMO.

Nashville was going to be my suggestion, though if you're not a country music fan it might not be as fun. I love the town!!

ended up not going downtown... kind of got caught up in some stuff at the last minute and ended up eating in the hotel alone... Never paying $10.95 for a buger combo EVER again.
I may walk across the street bright and early to Bob Evans for breakfast tomorrow.

Was in Nashville close to this time last year watching Clemson play in the bowl game. There is a hamburger joint downtown just apast the arena where their hockey team plays and it's great. It's on the same side of the street the arena is on, but I can't remember the name. A little hole in the wall. They only serve burgers.

I think we're headin' down in April, I'll have to check it out! Pie in the Sky Pizza is really good to.

Gaylord Opryland? I feel you on the prices, like 6 bucks for a bagel.

I ended up paying $18 for a breakfast buffet today. No way I'm paying $6 for a beer either. If I could get downtown (I didn't drive) I'd go down there

Never been to Myrtle Beach......had a buddy tell me about a golf trip he took down there last summer. Would anyone suggest hitting up Myrtle?
