Scientists said this has happened quite often, and not sure why the media is blowing it up this time around. It's likely some atmospheric disturbance such as sonic booms, static shock, or results of the movie Skyline.

Now they're falling in other states. Fireworks was the first excuse. Wrong. The next excuse was bad thunderstorms. Wrong. No storms when they fell in Tennesee. Wonder what the experts are going to come up with next.
