Rizzo is about the only commodity they have that seems to have a following. He can't fill every slot, although he has been doing 7 hours of live show this week (9-1,3-6) so maybe they are just going to hand the station over to him.
Fedor sounded like he was about to cry on air when they were talking about the changes, because he has no show now other than his bit parts on the RBS. Seemed to definitely knock him down a few pegs. Goldhammer was also shitting himself that they are testing Rizzo by himself, because he also would be replaced if they deemed Rizzo to be better on his own than with the romper room crowd.
Besides Goldhammer & Fedor, I think the fact that Kenny Roda, a known Steeler shill, who likes to take potshots at the Browns EVERY chance he gets, holds down a time slot rubs people the wrong way.
KNR had a monopoly on the city as the "only game in town" and now that they have competition that is "matter of fact' about sports and doesn't have to use gimmicks (TBPer's) and rumor mongering (Rizzo) people feel it's refreshing and are jumping ship in droves.
People call in ALL of the time on 92.3 and take shots at KNR but the guys on 92.3 won't take the bait. They just say "thanks for listening" and "we're worried about ourselves, not what's going on down the dial."
The fact that a bandwagoner/frontrunner like Roda is allowed to talk sports in CLEVELAND is enough to turn me off from listening to them.
