Wanted to add some more, Not playing Mitchell was only one instance of many of his bone head decisions. Trying to sneak Don Carey on the inactive IR list (thus opening him up to the likes of the league aka Jags) so he can add a back up Long Snapper in camp was ridiculous. He refused to play Harrison and continued to trout Jamal Lewis out there when it was obvious the dude was done. Lewis FINALLY gets put of his misery by injuries and Harrison lights it up. Fans were screaming for Harrison to play most of the season and womangini refused. Stubbon son of a bitch. Mangini not putting Lauvao back in the startiong line up after he was injured in Pre season even though he was the best option for now AND for for building towards the future yet he refused. Bernard not getting PT for god knows why, same with Jayme Mitchell. Putting Jake FAILhomme out there after Wallace went down with uinjury even thoguh he wasn't healthy because he didn't want to put McCoy out there. In my opinion so he didn't have to deal with the fan/media frenzy about playing the rookie, weak. Mangini was a fucking idiot. Plain and simple. Ego was too big even for the NFL.

Yeah no doubt, his attitude and way he dealt with players was nothing short of pathetic. Mental Midget that always had to prove to you that he was the boss and he was smarter than you. I bet he's a one upper too.

The only "good" that came from Mangini, imo, was making them a more disciplined team (less penalties). Other than that, not much to like.

For those in the "he should've been given another year" camp, this year there would've been no improvement in his system. Should've been "he should've been given one LESS year." Last year was a complete waste under Holmgren's watch and the Big Show has nobody to blame but himself for that. He should've cut the cord with Mangini.

You can also add jettisoning Leon Scissorhands out of here too quickly. I wasn't a Braylon fan but he should've had a legit WR in place before dumping him for Trusnick & Stuckey. His draft day Sanchez trade and subsequent selections of MoMass, Robo & Veikune weren't exactly the work of a rocket scientist either. Set the franchise back with that shit.

Yeah I was furious with the Veikune pick. Supposedly he let the chalkboard up which made Ginia have a hard on. I can honestly say, in all my TC visits over the years, I've seen a player look more out of place in my life. I watched him in his first TC day and I told my buddy that he didn't have a place on the team. He should have been cut then. He was absolutely terrible. The fact that a second round pick was out of football in 2 yrs with zero on the field expperience tells you everything. Total waste of a pick.

I'd bet my ass they wouldn't have MoMass & Robiskie. Heckert would've seen that they were huge reaches where they were taken.

I agree, I'll be really suprised if both are on the team next season and wouldnt be if they both were gone.

And BTW, after watching some preseason action last night, the new kickoff rule is f'in stupid. EVERY kickoff is a touchback or through the end zone. Cribbs likely won't have a single return this year.

What is the new kickoff rule?

They moved the spot of the kickoffs up from the 30 to the 35 yard line. Every kicker is either putting it in the end zone or out of it. The kick returner has pretty much gone the way of the dinosaur.

Yep. Surprised they didn't outlaw the onside kick too with all of the defenseless receiving team players getting blasted by the kick coverage team. (sarcasm)

I'm fairly certain Sebastian Janokowski came very close to putting his kick through the upright last night haha.

Rams linebacker David Vobora won a huge settlement this offseason against a supplement company for causing him to fail a NFL drug test.

That good news preceded a surprising downer on Friday: Vobora was cut by the Rams, according to his agent on Twitter. Recently signed linebacker Ben Leber will take his spot on the roster. The Rams also added Zac Diles and Brady Poppinga after the lockout.

Vobora was a starter for a decent chunk of his time with the team after being “Mr. Irrelevant” in the 2008 draft. He figures to get another job fairly soon.

Forgot to mention that I heard yesterday that TJ Ward has been a beast, check that, a fucking beast at camp. He came in BIGGER & FASTER than he was last year and it sounds like he's improved his coverage skills tenfold. They were talking like he was the "heir apparent" safety enforcer of the AFC North with Polamalu & Ed Reed aging.

Going up to the stadium tomorrow to catch some football, albeit preseason, excited to see if Colt McCoy really has improved accuracy/zip on his passing. Also want to see Greg Little, because I think he has big time receiver potential.
