The Big Ten is getting slammed BIG TIME right now. OSU can put a band aid on the wound. Right now OSU players and coaches are on a mission even more than ever, got to save face. I really, really like OSU to win this game now. Two weeks ago after the selling fiasco I'd have told you OSU was going to get throttled, now I absolutely love the Bucks in this game. OSU 34 Arkansas 20.

These college kids buy into this conference stuff and OSU HAS to step up.

Despite what people have said, I see a divided locker room because of the recent scandal, and a situation that sets itself up very much like Glendale in '07.

So the Big Ten sucking today, which OSU wasn't able to run the table in, gives you confidence that OSU can finally beat an SEC team?

I think OSU wins too, but definitely not with that logic.

Did you hear what Pryor said today? He seems more pissed at reporters than about people beating the Big Ten. One could even argue he doesn't realize he plays in the Big Ten. Its not like he has a championship ring to verify it for him

Read my media thread, Ty asked me the same thing, I explained there. The players have been asked about it this year, and have adamantly denied it, whereas in the NCG no one even suspected any reason for a divided locker room.

No one on OSU's team gives a shit about the Big 10 saving face, they said so themselves, I was there. They only care about what they can control and that's beating Arkansas and that should be enough for OSU fans.

I do not understand that thinking. Throughout the regular season a team's positioning in the ranking is largely based on strength of schedule. Ohio State and its fans SHOULD want the Big 10 to do well throughout the season and especially in the bowl games. Why? Because like it or not the pre-season and early season rankings are heavily influenced by the results of the previous season's bowl games.

I'll grant you that a 1 point win by OSU over Arkansas will taste sweet but it will be even sweeter iof the Buckeyes dominate. You may have an "insider's" look on the divided locker room issue, but I smell a rat.

I think Tress starts his second stringers in place of the Tattooed Five and when the Buckeyes fall behind he'll put them on the field. They'll do just enough to make it look good and then Ohio State loses in the waning minutes of the game. Herron, Posey, Pryor & Co. will then announce that they'll enter the NFL draft.

There are a lot of good points made in this thread, but IMO, at the end of the day, if a fan's team wins their bowl game, then it's all about the conference doing well. If their team loses, they could really give a shit. We've all got a certain amount of selfishness in us, some more than others.

btw, I did LOL at the Tat 5 comment made on Game Day-- it was funny

Believer, check the videos on my media hotel thread. The players are asked about if they watched the Big 10 implode, and if they can "save face" by winning tomorrow. Their response was "we can't control what everyone else does, we can only control what Ohio State does". Players don't care about everyone else, only fans do because we're all insane.
