We officially have 23 spots filled, but Jeremy Clark is accepting a grey shirt, dropping that # to 22.

They expect to sign 26 or 27 from everything I've read... and I'm not sure what will happen with Richardson.

26 is the magic number right now. The Richardson situation will be interesting. If he goes shopping, Yuri Wright is interested. Michigan might tell Richardson never mind.

I'd rather have Wright than Richardson, what do you think? We need that kind of size in the secondary. I just don't wanna hurt the pipeline with Richardson (Cass Tech I believe?).

Wright or Reeves would make me happier. But Reeves is announcing Friday and it won't be Michigan. I'd rather have the better player than worry about the Cass Tech pipeline.

That's the point, they are already over, what is 1 or 2 more than 26? Not all of these guys are going to stick. Once they see how the season goes and who else is committed at their position you know some will not end up signing.

I'm telling you, they are only taking 26. If any don't sign, they will get someone else, but still not go over 26.

The ship sailed on Reeves a long time ago

Is Cass Tech really that great of a pipeline? I'm honestly asking because I can't think of anyone who turned out to be a star as of yet. If there is someone, who?

Thats actually a really good point. lots of kids get high ranking out of cass though so you want to keep the pipe line open but I wouldn't worry too much about getting them all.

Just a quick overview of the team right now. I see great improvement in the defense from the videos I have seen along with the attacking style in the spring game. Recruiting has clearly been good and I expect a top 5 to 10 class. They are number 1 2 3 in some polls now but mostly because they have 22 kids and others have about 16. They will get passed but a top 8 class is still very good considering the coaching change and the past 3 seasons. I really excited for this season and I expect 8 or more wins this season. Things are looking up in AA for the first time in 3 years IMO so get ready, it's going to be a fun ride.

They got back into it last week apparently. But someone (247?) is reporting that it will be Penn State on Friday that he commits too.

I guess Richardson hasn't performed well this summer and has been sliding down a few spots as far as rankings go. Wright > Richardson and maybe even Reeves over Richardson at this point because of his flexibility.

I'd take Reeves over Richardson in a heart beat.

Aziz Shittu:

Comment From ToddTodd:
Where does Michigan stand with you?

Aziz Shittu:
Go Blue! ....

Aziz Shittu:
I'm just looking at the situation they've got with their class and deciding my officials.

Comment From GuestGuest:
What do you like most about what Michigan has to offer?

Aziz Shittu:
They have a big recruiting class coming in with a lot of good players. And I know they have good academics.

Comment From AdamAdam:
How good is Eric Magnuson?

Aziz Shittu:
He's good ... He's a great player

Comment From BobBob: ]
Have the michigan coaches ever pressured you to commit?

Aziz Shittu:
Nope

Comment From jakejake:
has erik magnusen been recruiting you?

Aziz Shittu:
We talked about it at The Opening, but he's more of a laid-back guy

Comment From AmarAmar:
Have you thought about how world-crushing the tandem of you and Ondre Pipkins could be at Michigan?

Aziz Shittu:
Yeah, a little bit ....

Been mentioning him on here lately, seems like the type of kid who will jump on the bandwagon of a great class because he won't fear lack of playing time.

I believe he isn't announcing til the AA game or signing day though, so not sure how Hoke will work that out. No way you can turn him down though.

Yeah that was expected. Did read earlier that if special circumstances happened, UM would take 27 or 28. But only if those circumstances happened, meaning certain kids wanted to commit. Otherwise they only plan on taking 26.

Apparently Kyle Kalis went down with a knee injury in a football scrimmage today. Full soft cast and crutches on the sideline.

I was told Michigan fans should expect 27 in this class, unless someone not-expected commits.

Like I said earlier bottom line is they will make it work if some of the top top players they have already offered decide to commit.

Practice reports sound like the staff is still not super happy with Will Campbell. I'm not sure if it's technique or just his motor, but I suspect more of that latter. He doesn't go hard 100% of the time. Michigan needs him to step up this season and show why he was a 5* recruit.

I expected huge this from him last year with all the hype he got and he went unoticed when I was watching UM.
