Don't know much about this site or its credibility.

It has no credibility. Guy trying to get traffic. Expect a lot of this going both ways over the next couple of days. At this point I won't be surprised at wherever JH ends up.

UM recruit sets sights on Alabama
By RYAN AUTULLO
BLADE SPORTS WRITER

JACKSONVILLE -- The residual effect from the worst beating in Michigan's bowl game history is being felt.
Coach Rich Rodriguez has not lost his job, but apparently he has lost his top recruit. Orlando Dr. Phillips High School's Dee Hart, the nation's top-rated all-purpose offensive back according to at least one recruiting Web site, withdrew his verbal commitment to the Wolverines Sunday and announced his intentions to attend Alabama. Rodriguez's shaky situation which only intensified following Saturday's 52-14 Gator Bowl loss to Mississippi State swayed Hart's decision. "It's just the question marks with coach Rodriguez and just not knowing his stability," Hart told TheWolverine.com.

That's been expected for weeks. Very soft recruit. I'm not sure why the kid ever committed to begin with.

Webbie--have you heard anything new, or pretty much status quo?

The way this is playing out, I think it is either Harbaugh coming or RR staying. Meaning if Harbaugh decides on another job, UM will keep RR, I do not see them firing him without knowing they can land a big name coach.

Agonizing? He put himself in this situation, and he's not going to retain his job. Pretty simple to me.

Harbaugh makes too much sense. I'll be shocked if it doesn't happen.

Improper Benefits? The Columbus Dispatch found three traffic violations committed by Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor in cars belonging to a Columbus car salesman and an Auto Direct dealership in Columbus. Pryor claimed he borrowed one of the cars to test drive and another while his car was being fixed. Auto Direct had “about two dozen” autographed jerseys, including those of Terrelle Pryor, Daniel Herron and DeVier Posey. Ohio State investigated and found no violations. In other Terrelle Pryor news from the weekend, when he was asked about ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit (a former OSU QB), Pryor said, “I don’t worry about what Kirk Herbstreit says, to be honest with you … Has he beat Michigan?” [Dispatch]

first thing on that link by the way lol

When asked if he learned anything about the sales of his jewelry and apparel, he said (I paraphrase), "I didn't really learn anything, no. It happened two years ago and I knew it was wrong."

That just pisses me off more than even the selling of the stuff. First off, don't patronize people by thinking this was a one time occurrence that happened two years ago. I think it's safe to say he had an ongoing relationship with this tattoo artist. Secondly, you better learn something from this.

I think Coach Tressel's going to have his hands full with this guy if he does indeed come back.

My take on that was he's saying he already learned from it and he knew it was wrong. He didn't learn anything from the 5 game suspension he didn't already know

So much misinformation going around right now, so many rumors.

The big piece of info going around Rivals is that Dave Brandon wants Brady Hoke (which I can't see), boosters/alumni want JH, and Harbaugh is pissed because Brandon ALLEGEDLY contacted Nick Saban Saturday night. Also the big snag in a deal with Harbaugh might be pay for his staff and a buyout clause in case he goes to the NFL.

The boosters should win this argument because if I remember correctly the boosters did not really want RR and that did not work out. Also the boosters are the ones who are going to be paying the extra cash needed to get JH in AA.

Would a buy out clause for an exit to the NFL make you less inclined to want to hire JH despite him being a Michigan Man?

$$$$$ and lots of it. Michigan has as much money as everyother team in the Big 10 plus there boosters which clearly gives them more than say a North Western, However the boosters would have to put up a lot of cash to get him here and I think they would do it.

What I mean is bo, would you be less likely to want him in AA if his desire is to have a buy out clause that allows him to go to the league. In other words, he might not want to stay at UM as long as the alumni, fans etc... would want him to. Because, honestly, to me it looks like he is setting UM up to be his stepping stone to the NFL. That's bullshit I wouldn't want to deal with.

O I get your I thought he had one in there now basicly makeing UM pay more because they are not the NFL. I agree with you though as a NFL buyout makes him a year to year coach becuase money is not a problem in the NFL.

I'd rather have him for 5 years and get things back to winning ways, then to continue with the bullshit we have now.

5 is one thing...I just get the feeling it would be less. I'd still probably pull the trigger though, even with the doubt.

I don't think less would really allow it be a stepping stone. If it's less, he might as well go now.
