What is the best medicine or home remedy to dry up a runny nose?

Besides blowing it of course.

A shot of Jack and a beer chaser. It may not dry up your nose but you'll feel better about it.

alkolol is good so i've been told.

i use neti pot and it's pretty foolproof.

Get something with sudafed in it (i.e. decongestant). A couple of things should work, there's Contact and Tylenol Cold & Sinus (or Advil Cold & Sinus) that should help dry you up a bit. You'll still have that foggy kind of weird feeling in your sinuses but at least your nose won't run so bad.

claritin D....or anything with an antihistimine will dry you up some


The neti pot keeps things moist and flowing...my nose will run at any point up to 30 minutes after neti potting....but it is good stuff

Hot shot.
Boil 2-3 shots of jack (whiskey), add 1 tbsp of honey, touch of lemon, and a tea bag. Wait for it to be pallatable and slam it. You'll be good to go. My grandma been hooking me up with this homemade recipe since I was 8.

Asked the pharm at wally world and she suggested zicam...I of course bought the generic form....but seems to be working great already on the first pill. Good stuff!
