A friend tipped me off to this, which I think is pretty sweet. Basically anything you want, you can find on Amazon. So you create a "Wish List" on Amazon, then add the items you want to the wish list. This way when people ask you for your Christmas or Birthday Lists, you just give them a URL to your Amazon Wish List which has links to specific makes/models, prices, pictures, reviews, and more. I just created mine yesterday and wish I had done so a month ago. Either way, I'll be maintaining an Amazon Wish List from now on. I think it's very useful so it makes those buying you gifts much more informed about the specific items you're asking for. I just thought I'd pass this along to those who were not aware, since I think it's pretty neat and useful. You can also prioritize the items in the list, which I have done, so you can sort the list by Priority so people know what is higher/lower on your list, and so on.

Here's mine: http://amzn.com/w/P7EM09MAKKTH

Simple concept, I know, but I thought I'd pass it along.

I actually think it's been around for a few years. I remember my sister sending one to me a few X-Mas ago for my brother in law.

Haha, yes. :) I have the first four seasons, and it's my girlfriend and my favorite TV series. We enjoy watching them together.

Yeah, the wish list has been around for a while but it's cool.

Also, just because you posted your list doesn't mean I'm going to buy you something. :)

Who wishes for an Amazon to begin with? Those women are just too darn large for my taste.

For people who didn't click the link, I posted it because when you click on one of the hospitals it takes you to an Amazon Wish list page set up by the charity and the hospital where you can buy various toys and things for the kids in the hospital and it gets shipped there.

It's an excellent charity. That Humble Indie Bundle of games I posted (the one where you could name your own price) allowed you to choose how much the developers, charity, and the people running the deal got to make from your purchase. This was one of the charities you could choose.

I didn't see your humble bundle post. A guy I work with sent the link to me and I bought one, though. I knew the name sounded familiar. I split my money 50/50 between the two charities.

Did you get the first one added in too? (They did it for the first 180,000 or whatever and then after that for everyone who paid more than the average). I did a 25, 35, 35, 5. Split between the developers, charities, and the bundle people.

I figured these are indie developers and not like a massive game company so I could give them some funds. And I really like both of the charities so they got a lot. Then I figured that since I like them doing the bundle and want them to continue doing it every year I'd give the bundle guys some money for bandwidth and such.

I have an Amazon Wish List too. Just several books and DVDs really.

That's all I ever use Amazon for. Beats Borders and any DVD store.
