It's called "ribbing," or "jesting" ... even "joking," or "joshing." It's for adults with skin thick enough that they don't cry or throw a tantrum every time it is directed toward them.
In the case of my user title, that is a reference to a discussion on OC regarding the oft-used circular reasoning when trying to prove the existence of God by using the Bible. However, I can completely see how making a snap assumption about it was the most reasonable thing to do.
Ask yourself this (oh, the irony of that imperative): If you've sworn up-and-down (See LJ's post) that you two aren't the same, why would you jump on here to throw around insults (that would appeal to the lowest common denominator of society, I might add) in defense of someone who has set himself up for some good-natured ribbing?
I might very well have wasted my time responding to you ... again, the pearls before swine thing ... but I thought I'd at least be cordial instead of taking a potshot and then bolting.
