If you use more than one computer (and/or a smartphone) this app is extremely useful. Drag a file into the dropbox folder. Boom, it's now on all computers and your phone.

Unless, say you wanted to share files with a parent or relative or friend or something. You can mark folder as "shared" and allow certain people access to them.
