My daughter looked at me while I was feeding her oatmeal and said "daddy, Christmas is over it's time for Miami Dolphins." She then starting singing the dolphins' fight song (which I sing all the time). This was all unprovoked. She can just sense it's winning time.

I had one of these yesterday. We were at my in-laws opening gifts, and they got my 9 year old son a Justin Beiber CD. He opened it, and immediately threw it across the room. I told him to come here, and he thought he was in trouble for acting rude about a gift. But I just gave him a big old hug and told him he just made me so proud. Lol

Did you daughter spend part of the afternoon crying while you were throwing beers and yelling about those damn presbyterians in Detroit?

I'm pretty level headed when it comes to Miami so no vulgarities today. I've come to expect shit from henne sporano henning and that cast of clowns. I'd love to see a new gm come in and hire cowher. Keep Nolan and a lot of the assistants. Rebuild that oline and try for something good next year.

Did she say anything about needing a better QB than Chad Henne? Given the same ball in the same situation, I could give the games away. I know it wasn't his fault and the WR took the blame, but why do I think if Tom Brady had a 10 point lead with 9 minutes to go in this game, he would have found a way to win the game. If anyone wants to defend Henne, feel free, and I will start by saying except for Marshall, no one gets much separation. But that shouldn't mean 16 tds and 14 ints or vice versa, either way it's pretty bad. PS-the Dolphins have not really drafted well since Marino fell into their lap 30 years ago.

Oh you're so wrong Big Chief...I received dozens of PMs telling me how that one post alone was the funniest thing they have seen on here for quite sometime.

I'm northeast Ohio born and raised, and all my three kids are avid fans of local teams...Browns Indians, Cavs, Buckeyes. I'm really proud of that.

I would consider it a parenting fail if they were to have become a fan of an out of town sports team. Above all, you have to know where you come from if you are know where you are going. Gotta have strong roots.

When my daughter was about 4 we were driving by a school that had a nice play area out front. She would always beg to stop and play when she saw a school with a play area. However, this time she said she did not want to stop and play there because the playground was Michigan colors!!

Still brings a tear to my eye.

When my daughter was 8 we went to Tressel's first game vs scUM game in ann arbor. A scUM fan sitting next to us was good naturedly teasing her about all the Buckeye gear she was wearing early in the game but as the game wore on and the Bucks proceeded to put the game away he became more a typical scUM A-hole. With only about 2 min left in the game my 8 yr old daughter said to him, "Hey mister do you hear that humming ?" "What? I don't hear anything", he replied. "That's the fat lady warming up!" my daughter beamed. I actually cried laughing as did a half doz. other fans around us.
