Just was talking about the NCAA and OSU allegations during the Poinsettia Bowl telecast... this guy has no room to talk after openly admitting to taking $100 handsakes during his recruitment/playing days at SMU....

yeah James and Dickerson both came off as somewhat of a joke during the 30 for 30, they had too much to lose from telling the truth. Obviously both had stuff given to them, but they didn't want to tarnish their reputations.

I thought the same thing when James came on TV talking about this. Made me laugh. It was perfect timing after the 30 for 30. I wish someone would have said something to him about it on air. Would have really made for good TV.

SMU was by far the most brash, but were far from being the only guilty party. As was mentioned in the piece (and also the Marcel Dupree 30 for 30), corruption was widespread and college football was extremely sleazy and slimy. SMU just got caught.

SMU just did nothing to hide it once the NCAA started working on schools (3/4 of the SWC was on probation)

The first thing you learn when taking a logic course, is that hypocrisy does not negate an argument. So while James may be a hypocrite, it does not change the fact that was he was saying has merit.

Unfortunately, he gets paid to express his opinion, no matter how stupid it sounds (see May, Mark)...and as far as what he said having merit, this is true only if the person listening to this rubbish deems it merit-worthy.
