Surfing through the web and saw this article from the BBC. Since nuclear fusion is the holy grail of energy production, do you all think that we will have viable, cost efficient reactors producing energy in our lifetimes? Some of us (definitely not me:D) just might live to see the year 2100. Will they be getting their electricity and other energy needs from fusion? What say you?

I say yes. The most promising thing about that article was this:
Europe is responsible for 45% of the total cost, which the European Commission says will amount to 6.6bn euros.

Iter's six other partners - China, India, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the US - are each contributing 9% of the final cost.
The world working together for everyone's benefit?! Amazing.

Can you imagine a world in the future where energy problems are almost nonexistent?
