Well if the suspensions stay at 5 games, I think all them leave.

But there is always a chance at appealing and getting it reduced. If that happens, I say they all come back.

Thank you for the memories Pryor and Posey. We all know you guys will test the water of the NFL now. Hopefully Braxton Miller can come in and keep the buckeyes among the nations best teams. If Joe Bauserman gets the job, get ready for a 5-7 season.

Gene Smith said they will appeal the suspensions. I hope they are successful. 5 games is ridiculous. Didn't Troy only get 2?

Yes, but he only took 500 and wasn't selling items.

What an odd situation: I am furious at these dumb kids, but I keep reminding myself that they are, well, kids (ok, young men). I want nothing more than OSU to roll Arkansas, but I feel like watching these players on January 4 is going to be truly bittersweet.

If we win, who cares, next year we are in big trouble and have zero momentum from this.
If we lose, its 0-10 vs. the SEC.

Horrible day to be an OSU fan, just blows!

This pisses me off because what they were selling should mean something to them, and it obviously doesn't. I'd give anything to have a pair of gold pants that I played a part in earning. Fuck them all and I hope they all leave.

I really wasn't sure, just figured that was who you were talking about. Thought maybe there was another Gene in the athletic department lol

It would almost be better if these guys did leave. They've basically just shit on their achievements publicly.

That said, the hypocrisy of the NCAA on these penalties and the whole sCam Newton thing makes me want to say the hell with college football altogether.

I have a few things. First I think the suspensions get down to just two games. Maybe three but I believe two because the NCAA has money to be made off the Miami game.

Second, Just a question. I wouldn't never sell those items but aren't they theirs why can they not sell them?

Finally, the NCAA are such hypocrites and I'm not even going to get into Cam Newton. What I'm talking about is why are they eligable to play in the Sugar Bowl. Why because the NCAA will lose money if these guys aren't going to play in that game. The NCAA needs to be investigated for corruption.

I think TP is definitely gone. No awards again this year and now this? Time to leave. Screw the "college scene".

p.s. I wonder how many agents are booking a flight to Columbus today.

NCAA says...

The players did not receive adequate education on the rules AND that they did not gain a competitive advantage by what they did. That is why they did not suspend the players for the Sugar Bowl.

Bauserman will not be the QB imo next season. I've heard good things about Guiton and Graham and plus you have Braxton Miller on campus.

Dumb dumb move by all of them. I am kind of happy Boom was one of the ones involved. Never understand why he was Tressel's "boy". I'd love to see Berry and Hall get more touches.

They'll be fine next year, probably won't win a championship but they will reload. They recruit blue chippers every year, somebody will be ready to take their place. Bunch of morons...

Assuming the 5 game suspension stands:

Herron - Gone. Too much talent behind him to find his way back on the field after missing 5 games
Pryor - Gone. 5-7 round if he's drafted at all.
Adams - Gone. I could see him goin 3rd-5th rounds in the draft.
Posey - Gone. Probably somewhere around a 3rd rounder.

None of these guys are going to improve their draft status playing in 7 games next year. Might as well take their shot at the combine this year, and move on. Not to mention, I don't think most OSU fans want them back anyhow.

"I mean everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me" - TP

not shocking someone who said this would do something that the NCAA frowns upon.

I agree 100% with "why are they playing in the Sugar Bowl". If guilty, suspend right away. I also think it will be reduced to 2-3 games. Five games seem pretty high but who knows.

Just talked to a former player from 2 years ago. There might be even more "shit" to hit the fan.
