I'll be the first to admit that he is doing better than I expected. I didn't expect him to see the court and he is starting. He is not a "dominant" big man but he's starting at a top program and holding his own. Izzo has a way of handling his big men. I don't think they are using them enough this year but I think that is to give both him and the other big man time to mature.

He's done a good job of taking advantage of Nix's issues and how their freshmen weren't able to jump in and cement major minutes right away to be a contributer. I'd read a few team previews where it sounded like he'd be an afterthought buried on the bench, but instead, he's averaging about 17-18 minutes and, while inconsistent, has shown the ability to contribute.
