I count 7 for OSU, Can't count 2010 yet because the final polls aren't out.

Pretty sure you can't count USC either. Didn't they have to forfeit games?

Technically the 2010 poll would have been released after the national championship game this past January. :)

Nice, but national titles OSU has 1 and Florida and LSU have 2.
And 2010 is the next decade, so this would only go from 2000-2009, which for OSU is 7.

Depends on what final poll you look at. If you look at the coaches poll, then technically yes, they didn't finish in the top 10 that year. If you go by the AP Poll then they still finished #1.

Correct, which shows that those schools had two very good teams during the past decade. However, finishing in the top 10 seven times shows consistency during the decade. It's amazing to think that OSU finished in the top 10 more than anyone this past decade with seven appearances, but that FSU finished in the top 5 for 14 straight years. Kind of puts that record by FSU in perspective.

Wouldn't 2010 be the final year of the decade? If you go back thru time, there was no Year 0, so to get to a decade it would have been years 1-10 and so on and so forth. Regardless, very impressive and hopefully OSU will add more NC's and top ten finishes to Tressel's resume before he calls it quits.

Is it possible that the lousy, slow, lowly, Big Ten Ohio State has ONLY ONE FEWER National Title than the high and mighty, speedy, exulted SEC Florida and LSU???? AMAZING!!!!

Or you could say we only have half as many National Championships as them.

And two championship drillings to the SEC. OSU had their last title 8 years ago while LSU and UF have 2 titles each in the past 7
