Nicky is the model defenseman and the greatest of this generation. Probably top 3 of all time (behind Orr for sure, and then its up in the air). But days after this article (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/story?columnist=lebrun_pierre&id=5918807) is published he gets the first hat trick of his career.
He didnt show a lot of emotion, because he never does. But you could tell how much it meant to him, and even better that it happened at home.

Great for him getting the hatty.
He isn't top 3, maybe top 5.
