Just wanted to say thanks to those who gave input on which college I should attend. Had orientation today and got my classes scheduled for Winter quarter. Got 15 credit hours, if I can get in a couple classes that are full. I will say one thing I regret not going sooner because my placement scores were a little depressing. What can you expect though when it's been 12 years since I got out of high school. To anyone procrastinating on going to College, just go do it and get it done.

Agreed! In fact, this morning, I took a swim in my pool filled with gold coins (Scrooge McDuck style), and as I write this I am lighting my cigar with a $100 bill!

Seriously though, congrats! Prepare for an adventure of drunken sorority girls, football Saturdays at the 'Shoe, and I guess classes on occasion too ...

Thanks everyone! I know it's not going to be easy but I got to do this for me and mainly my son.
Jmog I am going to major in Mechanical engineering, there are couple more engineering degrees that look tempting though.
Bigapplebuckeye That's the whole reason I am going is for the girls, so don't tell anyone. All the girls in my town are washed up and beaten down, so time to explore new territory! lol
Gerb I give up on my brother he is too stubborn to have a conversation with anymore! All we do is fight every time I try to explain and talk to him about things, he always gets mad and threatens to whoop my A$$ etc. so I'm done with it. We're currently not speaking and I won't speak to him until he apologizes. I have always given in and started talking to him after a few days, that is why this time I'm not. I think he just thinks it will blow over again, not this time he said some mean shit that you just don't forget about!

I would take a hard look at the other engineering majors, don't forget to check out Welding Engineering, you will not have to look far for a job in that major. The Chemical Materials Industrial and Electrical are also good choices.

All good suggestions except industrial. Industrial is the "I can't figure out what type of engineer I want to be so I'll just get a general engineering degree" degree. Industrial is not typically sought after in real engineering jobs. I mean Industrial is great if you want to go the MBA/engineering management route, but if you want to work as an engineer, industrial is one of the worst choices.

Chemical is the best, but I'm biased ;).

Eh, we all cant hack it in Electrical. but at least it's not Civil... which is one step above Industrial.
