I do like Alice Cooper but wasnt a big part of his fame doing the theatrics just like KISS?

I was listening to the Alan Cox show today and they were talking about how the name needs to be changed to the "Music Hall of Fame"

Whats the sense of having it be the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame anymore.

You can't let Cooper in and keep Kiss out.

You could also get rid of 50% of their inductees. This shouldn't be a format like the NFL has where there is a quota every year to be filled. There can be some sort of exclusivity to this.

Just curious - what is the correlation between the two that ties their inclusion together in your mind? Have they previously been kept out for the same reasons? Or is it just the makeup?

KISS has been kept out basically because their own members have boycotted the hall and said that the whole process is bullshit. They both come from a genre of rock that relied heavily on theatrics that, along with great music provided for a great rock and roll experience. I'm just saing if you're going to let one in you've gotta let the other in

I think that the main reason for their success is that they are very performance driven artists. Without knowing their on-stage persona I do not think I would care for either of their music.
