Tonight 6:30pm on the BTN.
The most entertaining part of this game should be the terrible BTN commentators.

The victim's schedule so far.
at Indiana L 60-88
SE Missouri St. W 89-78
at Grambling St. W 74-70
at Arkansas L 47-90
Miami (FL) L 75-87
at North Florida L 74-81
at Jacksonville L 56-71
Looks like scoring won't be a problem for Ohio State, as Gulf Coast gives up a lot of points to about everyone with the three major conference schools they faced averaging 88+ on them. And that's Indiana, Arkansas and Miami -- who aren't overly great major conference teams.

Could be really ugly that 90 to Arkansas is telling. Hopefully Matta empties the bench with 10 to go 2nd half.

I'm hoping that guys like Sibert, Weatherspoon and Smith get a good amount of playing time. I don't think there will be much need to give any of the main guys a lot of action past the early stages of the second half.

Hm? I notice my post came in twice, but the site (or my computer) hiccup'd around when I hit send, so I wasn't even sure if it'd come up at all.

Another great challenge for young Buckeyes. Probably a tough ticket, so I think I'll stay home for this one.

Buckeyes start 5-18 shooting -- Florida Gulf Coast has 7 Turnovers in the first 8 minutes
Buckeyes up 12-3 early

Thomas must've gotten the message. He's actually throwin' some good passes.

Diebler w/ 29 on 9/12 from behind the arc. One away from the single game 3pt record.

Diebler one 3 ball away from settle the Buckeye single game record for three pointers (he's tied at 9 with Jay Burson)
hey Diebler...make sure you bring this swagger come March, please and thank you

I saw Diebs had 15 at half and I figured he would finish around 20. Looks like I was wrong. Obviously stroking the ball tonight. I don't care who you are playing against, 9+ 3's in a game is insane.

Much more difficult in march when you're playing on football fields.

Didn't get to see the game, but I saw in the box score that Sully barely played over 20 minutes. Must have been a complete blow out. Nice to see Diebler shoot well. Now if only he could become consistent at it. Craft with another pretty good game. Something tells me that he is going to be a very, very good PG for the Buckeyes.

Sullinger's minutes were low because he got two quick fouls in the first half and hardly played.
OSU looked very ragged tonight and their shooting (aside from Diebler) was mostly awful. I'm sure Matta can't be happy with their lack of focus.
They better not play like this in the next two games, or they'll lose. Hopefully, they will be more focused when the competition is better.
Oh and CC: stop with the "Diebler doesn't show up in big games" schtick. It's not true. He "shows up" in big games just about as well as any other player on the team. Even in games where he isn't shooting well, he still plays solid defense and usually has some good passes to get/keep the offense flowing.
There's a reason he gets more minutes than just about any other OSU player. Matta knows his value on the court, even if you don't see it.
Just checked a crucial game in March: Big Ten Tournament semi final that went 2 OTs against Illinois. Diebler had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. But he doesn't show up in March or "big" games.

I was listening to an interview with Matta yesterday before the game and he said Diebler is "a pillar of what we're trying to do with the program." I don't have any hate for Dieb, but it seems like Matta loves him. Good enough for me.

Last year everyone was worried about the PG spot for this year. Craft turns out to be an unexpected, unfreshmanlike, very steady performer at PG. Next year highly thought of PG Shannon Scott arrives. AND Lenzel Smith has a year of experience coming off an injury. The PG positon next year could be worrysome because of the depth. Two Sophomores and a Freshman, from one extreme to the other. I hope no one wants to transfer.

Luv all the continued Diebler bashing, not consistant, doesn't do it against good teams, etc, etc. lol Comical. The guy is soon going to become the all time Big Ten 3pt shooter, ever. You don't do that by being inconsistant. And you don't get that far by only doing it against nobodies. He shot 42% from 3 last year and is at 49%. Pretty inconsistant huh? Some of you need to get a clue.
Sully gets 40 against IUPUI and is "amazing". Diebler gets nine 3's last nite and is ripped.

Diebler was as "on" as I've ever seen him last night. I bet 8 of the 9 threes didn't hit anything but net. Would've been nice to see him get the 10th. People can bash him all they want, but he is a kid ANY coach would want on his squad.
