I loved the MNF game last evening, the Saints smacking the Pat's in the mouth. On a neutral field who wins, Vikings vs. Saints?

If Winfield is out the Vikes dont stand a chance stopping the Saints O. If the Saints played like they did yesterday there isnt a team that would beat them.

Saints are the best team in the NFL. They'd win in Minnesota.

If both teams are completely healthy, on a neutral field I'm picking the Vikings.

Is it just me, or will anyone else not be surprised if a team from somewhere other than New Orleans, Indy or Minnesota wins the Super Bowl? I wouldn't be surprised if one of them do either, but its like everyone else is being completely taken out of the discussion. I don't know who to root for, I'd love to see Brees, Manning or Favre win it all. At least we can all probably agree on one thing, even Browns fans that aren't total morons...what a great season so far in the NFL.

I think the Vikings could run the ball on NO.

Viks could throw.

Viks could stop the NO run game.

NO would throw all over the Viks, unless the Viks could pressure Brees so much as to throw him off his game.

Wherever they play, the field is still 100 yards long 50.3 yards wide, with 10 yard deep endzones. I really don't see how it matters where the game is played.

^Well aside from not travelling, being comfortable and familiar in YOUR locker room and the settings of your field, did you hear the crowd in New Orleans last night? No matter what you want to say about them being professionals, it still makes a difference. You can think they're cheering for you--the problem is when you're trying to audible (especially in a dome) or communicate on the field you aren't going to shut up that crowd like you could by waving your arms at the home crowd. Ever notice how deathly quiet it is when the Colts are on offense at home?

^^Well, if the game is at a neutral site, don't both teams have to travel? Aren't both teams playing on a field that they're not accustomed to? Aren't they both in a locker room they're not familiar with? Crowd noise is a constant.

Um...you said you don't see why it matters where the game is played. My point was if it's in New Orleans it does matter. If it's in Minnesota it does matter. That's the whole idea of a neutral site--both teams have the same disadvantages. I got the idea that you were saying the answer wouldn't be different if they were playing in NO or Minnesota.

I really like the Vikings. They are so balanced and can get pressure on a QB. I've got Minnesota as Champs at this point.

Gotta go with the Saints in a very high scoring game.

Well, if they would play this game at a neutral site, may I suggest Warren's Mollenkopf stadium? I live about 3 minutes away. :)

^I second that. I don't live that close but I'd be close enough to make the trip!
