I was just shocked because someone referred to it as a leak. I was thinking like a leak that opened up in one of the NBA arenas not too long ago. It was a major understatement. When I saw it on the news, I was shocked because it wasn't what I was expecting.

Thank God that this didn't happen in the 4th quarter of a game that was tight. Talk about a panic, especially if the lights went out also. Wow. And there is no truth to the rumor that Favre was seen on the roof with a big old knife trying to buy an extra day so he can extend his streak, I don't care what they said on ESPN. lol

Imagine that, they put a tarp over a stadium, call it a dome, and something goes wrong.

I always thought it was weird when a dome was "inflated" Why not have a solid roof?

that was a pretty hardcore occurance right there... I know they wanted to play the game in Detroit and did but I think it would have been cool had it been able to be done was to play in outdoors at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis

Darby, they didn't have enough lead time to get TCF Bank Stadium ready for the game. Word is the next Vikings home game will probably be played there.

The problem is the stadium was already shut down for the season. The pipes were drained. Field covered for winter and needs 'prepped' for a game.

Security/personnel brought in from their winter layoffs, supplies ordered and stocked for the vendors, etc.

If this happened during the Gophers' season, the transition would've been near seamless. Aside from a drop in seats available, the game would've gone on easily.
