As a Pittsburgh fan, I'd definitely call this trolling, but I said I'd keep out of disciplining stuff regarding my teams (unless it's super over-the-top), so I'll let others make the call.

I also would say that CoA is even more stupid than usual. If it's a thread about the Pens, how could "pen trolls" be a culprit? Wouldn't the trolls be the people coming onto the Pens' thread to make Jaamal-ish comments?

Also, I agree about trying to refrain from moderating trolls who troll your own team.

I am generally trying to take care of guys trolling non-OSU teams and any pro team as I really don't have 1 pro team for NFL or MLB. But I am a Cavs fan and a Blue Jackets fan.

As a side note, is there anything that should be done about that Browns Fans Heckle LeBron thread? Like just moving the entire thing to the basement, but not necessarily giving infractions?

Like, I'm pretty clear on what trolling is as pertains to things like "Our team vs. that team" or "Our team: this year" or "Our team: upcoming draft" sorts of threads, where if someone jumps on with a "your team sucks ass, bitch!" comment, that's trolling. But that was a thread where the OP's quoted article took sort of a mocking tone towards the Cleveland fans, CoA started bitching about "trolling" when other posters (Capone, Non) jumped on that to rip on Cleveland fans, people, hospitals, etc. and now it's just an out-of-control thing with a handful of people engaged in slap-fight comments against each other.

Actually from clicking on the link of that article, it seems to be a Cleveland-based website. Weird. I totally figured it was written in a sarcastic manner considering how it started out with a "fans proving they have class" slant before mentioning it was fans getting kicked out of a fancy restaurant for heckling LeBron.

Still, anyone with a brain should know that a thread like that is going to create an argument. Unfortunately, it's a completely off-topic argument that sucks. I think I'll move it to the Basement.
