What slays me is no one makes a thread for pearl harbor attacks on december 7th but there is always a JL thread on the 8th.

Well I wasn't born till late '70, so of course this doesn't have the effect on me as it might on others who were older.
I do think it's sad that he got shot, though. Just a waste.
As far as music goes, I like some of his/Beatles music, but not enough to make me mourn for him, although I have no problem with those who do, and I get why they do. I guess as far as musically, it is on level with the MJ death to me.
On an aside: With him and Sid Vicious, it just goes to show that musicians don't always get the "hot" chicks!
