Last week, Cavs fans unimaginatively yelled “Scottie Pippen” at LeBron James while he torched their team. Joakim Noah, no fan of Ohio himself, tells the Daily Herald that he was less than impressed: “Noah took exception to the Cavs fans invoking the name of Bulls legend Scottie Pippen in an effort to taunt departed star LeBron James. Fans chanted ‘Scottie Pippen’ during the game. ‘They took a cheap shot at one of our Hall of Fame guys, at Scottie Pippen,’ Noah said. ‘I didn’t really like that.’ Sure, Noah understands the idea behind the chant, that James will never be a Michael Jordan, one of the all-time greats. Instead, he chose to be sidekick to Miami’s Dwyane Wade, the way Pippen played wingman for Jordan. At this point, though, James is still looking for his first NBA championship. Matching Pippen’s six would be a dream come true for the Akron native. ‘You guys are waiting for this moment for five months and you guys are chanting, ‘Scottie Pippen,’ a Hall of Fame player with six rings? Like that’s a bad thing? Come on, now,’ Noah said.”

Most were saying the same thing about the Pippen chant. Funny that as they were chanting it, "Pippen" went absolutely off in the 3rd quarter and buried them

Awesome. Pippen and his buddies beat another team with a losing record

I could care less if they win or not. In fact, I always hope they lose just so I can see ESPN's next daily overreaction.

However, I'm with Noah. First off, being Pippen isn't a bad thing and would mean he'll be getting some rings. Second, while they were chanting insults at him, Mo Williams was airballing jumpshots. At that point they should have been booing Mo Williams, not James.

Time for them to start dealing away assets for draft picks. No need to keep a guy like Jamison around now. The team isn't going anywhere and he is only going to take PT away from the young bigs

I think he said something along the line of, no one in the NBA wants to play in Cleveland. Cavs fans were really critical of him at the time. Now he seems to have been right.

No, that's not even close to what he said.

He said nobody wants to vacation in Cleveland.

I really don't like Noah, but there's a certain twisted genius there. He basically jabbed at Cleveland and LeBron at the same time (not easy to do) by saying Cleveland fans are poor hecklers because comparing LeBron to Pippen is a compliment (not an insult) to him.

I'd honestly wonder which side (Cleveland fans or LeBron-ites...aka Maverick and SQ) are more like "FUCK YOU NOAH!!!!" right now.

He also said he hates playing in Cleveland because when he looks our his hotel windows he sees factories and run down areas.....Who wants to look out the window at that?

Hated Noah at Florida, and I still hate him with the Bulls.....Very full of himself, and seems to have a thing for LeBron and Cleveland since he ALWAYS has something to say about him and us!

He was also very critical of Lebron and the Cavs dancing late in the game last year. How many would agree with him now, in that regard.

Found the quote, "I don't know about Cleveland, man, there is nothing going on. It's bad, man.... Cleveland really sucks."

Maybe I took it too far, but basically what he was saying is that no one wants to go to Cleveland.

Yes, in terms of vacationing. He continued it on from there.

No player, if they're smart, is going to burn bridges in the NBA because they don't know where the next big payday may come from. Obviously people do want to come to Cleveland, we we've signed FA's every year LOL.

No one is arguing that Noah is a scholar. But you know what you have in him. He's been like that since his days in college and is just one of those guys that speaks his mind.

Cleveland was very appealing with Lebron, because you knew you were going to be playing on a title contender. Hopefully Gilbert can clear some cap and be aggressive this off season, but unfortunately he will have to overpay to get guys to come in (combination of city and overall talent on the current roster).

I think FA in the NBA is over valued. Most players that you get in FA are guys like an Anthony Parker. Guys like LBJ/Melo etc.. are all brought in via trades or through the draft. Rashard Lewis might have been the last BIG FA, and I think in the end, even he was a S&T with Seattle. LBJ & Bosh were all also S&T. The NBA imo is the hardest to build a winner out of any of the sports.
