Just heard on tv that she has passed away from breast cancer. Wonder which girlfriend John will bring to the funeral.

Sad to hear she passed away. Wonder who'll be the first to post some smart ass inappropriate remark at this time pertaining to her husband. Oh, my bad. Art's the winner.

Reread his post!! John was banging women WHILE his long time wife was suffering through cancer!! Elizabeth Edwards was one strong, courageous woman!!! John Edwards is todays winner................I hope he feels like a real shithole today, because he should.

I am actually really sad to hear this news. I feel so bad for this lady. She really was the epitomy of class throughout all of John's campaigns and poltical career and John really screwed her, especially in her "hour of need". They were married for 36 YEARS, had a son who tragically died and have two small children later in life. Shame on John.

Elizabeth -- rest in peace, you deserve it.

Very sad news. I heard Monday that her doctor had advised her to stop treeatment...but I did not realize she was that sick and was surprised to hear of her passing. She was a very courageous woman.

And yes John Edwards is a sleezy asshole douchebag.

Hope that Elizabeth will rest in peace.

John Edwards was POS prior to cheating on his sick wife. He made millions suing doctors for not cutting open women during childbirth. As a result, the women of North Carolina were sometime cut open during child birth to prevent a lawsuit from him.

John Edwards is one of the biggest scumbags around, and that saddest part is that people actually thought highly enough of him to want to put him in the White House.

I didn't follow Elizabeth Edwards much, but I really admired her for having the courage to stand up to her ex husband at such a trying time. Really really sad situation.

I have to comment on the comment above ------- what's even sadder is that John Edwards was/is doing what about 80% of what all the other Washington polititians are doing with having extramarital affiars. Every day it is "so and so" getting caught and all these guys are highly looked upon. tisk tisk tisk

I actually heard that he was bedside in her last few days. I give him and her some credit for putting the transgressions behind and being able to share in the final moments of her life.

Not saying he doesn't and not justifying his actions. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit for doing what he should have done, but regardless, it would have been even worse if he wasn't bedside.
