I understand what You're saying Mooney44, especially in the college forum. When you see someone shit on the first page, so many can't resist the temptation to fire back, pretty soon the ball gets rolling and well, forget it. I have been guilty of it myself, but it was in response to a thread/threads meant to flame anyway, which is a whole other story.

I'm just not sure if I agree with it though. I am able to sift through the garbage using quotes of other posters who actually have something to say of signifcance and speak what I want to say to them directly. It sucks but it works.

I get both sides of the arguments. There are definitely plenty of posters (especially on the College Football Forum) who make their living off getting underneath people's skin and trying to bring everyone down to their level (a.k.a. Trolling). I wish there was a good way to easily define this behavior and discourage it to make it a enforceable rule. Well no I really don't wish that. I just wish it would go away on it's own and people would stop paying attention to the people who do this.

Because there IS smart discussion going here. I just don't feel that that smart discussion needs to be ruined by people who are just trying to piss people off. All those bullshit posts do have value. If someone continues to post crap,you know where they are coming from, you know not to waste your time discussing anything relevant with them. Let 'em shine for all to see. It's a damn litmus test for current and future posters. Don't judge them by their screen name. Judge them by what they post.

ND fans just need to take their lumps and admit their team is terrible. That would solve a lot of the "trolling" problems, at least it'd be less fun to bash them if they were agreeing with everything I say.

Mooney, I see what you are saying but most people on this site already know that sleeper, dikoter and NCF are some of the worst posters on this site and most people ignore them, they add nothing to this site, that is why I hope NikkiSantoro never comes over here because he did the same thing over there.

At least someone like S&L who may not be the most intelligent poster on here adds something funny or cool every now and then. The biggest thing is that if you are looking for intelligent post all the time, that just isnt going to happen on any message board unless you go on a banning spree like the old site has done and even then you still have horrible posters like AAF.
