Per Schefter...

knew this would happen when they drafter Tebow in the first round after trading for Brady Quinn...the icing on the cake being they gave away Hillis and a pick. What a giant clusterfuck this guy was.

Guy seemed like a dick. Denver would be an attractive job for anyone.

Rough go this year.

In all honesty, I still think he can be a pretty good coach. A lot of things went wrong in a hurry. Maybe a case where he was too young to take over a franchise.

It is a mess. McDaniels just seemed to let his ego run the franchise. The Broncos should be one of the easiest places to win in the NFL. Great fans, nice homefield advantage, attractive city for players, beautiful stadium. No room for failure.

Except that they have Orton and Tebow as their QB's and they don't have Marshall or Hillis anymore. Not a lot of talent in Denver at the moment and they play in a division with San Diego, Kansas City, and Oakland who is getting better.

He should get a job as a college coach. He's from Ohio so you know he'd be successful.

BREAKING NEWS: It has now been discovered by reliable sources that Hillis' dong has claimed more than Josh McDaniels' wife. Sources claim that the must-ballyhoo'd break-up between Wes Mantooth and Rosie Palmer happened as a result of Mantooth discovering Rosie fornicating with Hillis. More to come later.

or a QB coach like he was before....head coach...maybe not.

He made some bad choices though as head coach with the Broncos not the smallest being draft choices...the ones missed + the 3 given up will bite the Broncos on the butt for some years to come.

Kinda hot to look at though :D

I'd love him to be our oc if his arrogance is able to allow him to take a lesser position.

My thoughts exactly!! He would do wonders with the Brown's Offense....and is a MAJOR upgrade from Daboll!

The Browns next OC will be someone who runs the west coast offense.

Not unless Mangini is going somewhere -- and I hope that's not happening anytime soon. Last thing I want is to start over -- again.

Sooooo many Cleveland fans wanted this guy as their coach instead of someone with actual NFL head coaching experience. I'm happy to say I wasn't one of them, and happier still he ended up in Denver.

As for bringing him in as OC: I'd like to see what Daboll can do when he actually has a healthy QB and a wide receiver who can stretch the field before throwing him under the bus. He's shown me flashes of being very inventive; it just hasn't been used consistently, and I think that has everything to do with the personnel he doesn't have ... yet.

Does anyone else remember when all us Browns fans really wanted him? Thank goodness that didn't happen!

Yeah McDaniels was very arrogant. Glad to see him get knocked down a peg or two. Peyton Hillis' success this season along with the spygate 2.0 stuff sealed his fate.

i liked mcdaniels swag. but made to many dumbass trades. why you would trade jay culter and brandon marshall, we will never know. why you would trade for brady quinn and draft a qb in the first round? we ill never know. but a great offensive mind to say the least.

He is from the Belichick coaching tree, and tried to be too much like him.....He wanted total control of his players and when they didn't want to do what he asked he canned them....kind of like the Broncos did to him...all they want to do is win, and when he didn't produce, see ya!

I think it would be great for him to return back to Ohio and use that offensive mindset to get the Browns scoring some points so it doesn't come down to the last minute of the game.

Question is what position will the Browns draft in the first round this year?
