I'm thinking about signing up for Netflix through my PS3.
I was just wondering what all this entails. My wife said something about it and said it was like $7/month. Is that the truth?
Are there limitations to what I can watch? Is there a minimum/maximum per day/week/month?
How's the quality of the movies? How do I pay it?
I could probably find all of this out myself, but I want to know what people who've actually used it think.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, It's $7.99 a month to just stream through your PS3.
You can watch anything they stream. Not all there movies are available for streaming, but they have a pretty big library to choose from. There is no limitations.
The quality all depends on your internet connection. I have no issues with streaming quality, but I have a good internet connection. I pay by credit card. Automatically bills my card every month.
Overall, you can't beat it for the price.

Netflix just changed their prices within the last couple of weeks. The $7/month is for streaming only, which you can do through your PS3. Right now, the selection is somewhat limited as to what you can stream. There is a pretty good selection of TV shows available, so if you have been wanting to catch up on a series, it'd be a good place to do that at. As for how much you can watch, there is no limit. Quality of picture all depends on speed of internet connection. I have RoadRunner and my PS3 hooked up wirelessly and the picture quality has always been great. Some people who have DSL have complained about the picture. Payments can be set up to be charged to a credit/bank card monthly, which is the easiest thing to do.

What do you mean by streaming only?

You aren't able to get DVDs in the mail with that plan. If you want DVDs also, I think the price jumps up to $13 or something a month.

For 1 DVD at a time, it's only $2.00 more a month.

ah ok. I use the Blu Ray plan which might be another 2 bucks on top of that, maybe that's what I was thinking. I'm considering dropping down to the streaming only plan. Its stupid that not only do they add movies to the Instant catalog, they also take some off. I wanted to watch the Godfather on there recently and it isn't available any longer.GoChiefs;588816 wrote:For 1 DVD at a time, it's only $2.00 more a month.

Just went to the streaming only plan. Its good because of the tv shows (Family Guy, Office, King of the Hill, Battlestar Galactica) you can get streaming, plus older movies. We haven't used the newer movies on mailed dvd enough to warrant the additional cost. Either we send it back without watching it or sit through a crappy movie (Iron Man 2, I'm looking in your direction - damn that movie sucked). If there's a new movie on dvd we want to see we'll just go to the local rental place.
