Why does every other commercial on television attempt to make men look stupid?

Commercials? I've been annoyed about the same thing regarding SITCOMS for years. The dad is always benevolent, but he's usually slow, simple, irresponsible, easily manipulated, and emotionally underdeveloped.

It's why even though I was never a huge fan of Damon Wayans, I like the show My Wife And Kids. The dad has plenty of faults, but he's smart, insightful, and responsible. That show, I think, shows good parental balance, and it shows, I think, the best marital partnership in any sitcom today.

Because anyone who portrays a woman in a similar manner is a sexist pig.

I work in an industry in which 70% of the employees (and management) is female - yet we still have a "Executive Woman Of The Year" program.

Yeah, but I do even recall an episode of that that bugged me (son only obeyed Bernie if his sister gave him the nod to do so), and he still did kind of get led around by the huevos from time to time.
