I have downloaded a ton of torrents and for some odd reason now....when I try to download them, vlc media player is my default downloader(which it can not do). How do I set bitlord or utorrent to open and download these files? It is probably something really simple that I am overlooking

*I am using Chrome
*Demonoid

so strange that my computer is being quirky about this after I just downloaded movies yesterday.

doesn't a dialog box open that asks what you want to open the torrents with?

no, when I click on the download box...a bar appears along the bottom of the screen(this is normal) and when I click, the vlc player opens. Also, I cannot right click on it to get a dialog box.

Torrents are streams right??

I know if I had a torrent stream, I'd be going to the doctor ASAP.

Just go into your download folder and find the torrent files. From there you can right click one of them and change the default program you use to open them. Its nothing wrong with Chrome because thats what I use and I have never had that issue with any torrent files.

Right click on the downloaded file and choose "open with" and then you can choose which program you would like to use to open it. In this case you can choose bitlord or utorrent.

There should be an option to set that program as the default program so you only have to do it once. After that the future torrent files will open with whatever you set it to.

Yeah, I can't find it, but I have a feeling that it will ask me after I uninstall and reinstall bitlord.

right click on the file, hover over "Open with..." and then select "set default program" from the menu that you get. There will be a radio button or check box towards the bottom that says something along the lines of use this program each time with this type of file.
