I have 225/70/14 tires on my truck, and need to replace one for sure might do both of my rear tires, but can't find my size anywhere. How big of a deal would it be to go to 205/70/14 or 215/70/14

Knowing what the numbers mean is important and can annswer your question:
The numbers in the tire size refer to its width, aspect ratio, and wheel diameter.
Example "205/55R16"
means the tire is 205 mm wide the lager the number the wider the tire.
55 ...aspect ratio (that is, the width divided by the height) of 55%
and last fits on a 16" rim.

"R" means radial tire. They're all radials nowadays. Speed ratings are usually inserted before the "R."
The most common speed ratings are HR (good for 130mph),
VR (149 mph),
and ZR (more than 149 mph).


So in your case by getting a 205 or 215 you are getting a narrow tire that what you had on the truck before Is that what you want?

My suggestion is to keep looking for a 225 I never put a narrow tire on my truck i would go wider but never narrower
